GREF Responsible Gambling Working Group Meeting

GREF Responsible Gambling Working Group Meeting
13 September 2016
Lisbon, Portugal
At the GREF meeting in Malta we informed about a working group meeting on Tuesday the 13th of September in Lisbon.
If you join our meeting you probably also join the EASG conference.
Our meeting is on the same day as EASG has the pre-conference workshops (day 1 in the program for the conference).
The main conference starts on Wednesday 14th of September (day 2 in the program).
We plan to have our meeting from 13.00 to 17.00 at the venue for the EASG conference.
We will have two broad themes on the agenda in our meeting:
- Input in order to regulate a responsible gambling market.
Dr Richard Wood will join us and talk about a scale which measures the level of responsible gambling (the Positive Play Scale) in a player population, and the risk assessment tool GAM-GaRD which measures the risk for problematic gambling among vulnerable players in different types of games ( http://www.gamgard.com/ ).
- Future work in the working group Responsible Gambling.
Results from the survey we sent out this spring showed that we should start to collect information about how we regulate our gambling markets in order to prevent gambling problems.
There is a lot of information we could collect, and in the meeting we will try to be specific in what information we start with. We will also talk about how we can develop the group as a network among colleagues.
