For the first time, GREF is publishing its report on the Annual Conference, held this year in Malta.

This year’s GREF Conference was held over three days, the first of which was devoted to working group meetings and the following to presentations on topical issues. Also, the Conference welcomed regulators from other continents (North America, Asia and Africa). The aim of this initiative was to enrich exchanges through a comparative approach to gambling regulation and to encourage cooperation at an international level. Participants were also given an informative presentation on the geography of gambling by two French researchers from the University Sorbonne Paris Nord, Marie Redon and Boris Ledeau. Participants were able to broaden their horizons by discovering how a country’s territorial organisation reflects government policy on gambling.
