GREF Convened in Sofia for Annual Conference 2026
15th June 2026
The Gambling Regulators European Forum (GREF) 2026 Conference, held in Sofia from 1–3 June, brought together gambling regulators from across Europe to exchange views, share experiences and discuss key developments shaping the regulatory landscape.
Across the three-day programme, discussions covered a range of current regulatory priorities. These included approaches to addressing illegal gambling and strengthening cross-border enforcement, developments in anti-money laundering supervision at EU level, and broader regulatory challenges linked to an increasingly digital market. Participants also explored topics such as player identification, consumer protection, data and analytics in supervision, and the evolving role of stakeholders within the gambling ecosystem.
The conference also provided an opportunity to review the work of GREF’s working groups and to further strengthen cooperation between member jurisdictions. Close collaboration and the exchange of information remain central to addressing shared challenges across European markets.
GREF would like to thank all participants for their engagement and contributions.
Special thanks go to the National Revenue Agency of Bulgaria for hosting and supporting the organisation of this year’s event.
